Oncologist Stephen Lowis explains Kira's Treament.
The Youtube video link below explains Kira's treatment, by the team in Bristol, England led by Prof. Steven Gill. Kira had the most aggressive DIPG, but lived an impressive 17 months after diagnosis, due to this treatment. Not only that, she lived well. She never had systemic chemo, and used steroids very little. She never lost her hair, or vomited. Her quality of life, because of this treatment, for what she had, was remarkable. If you are battling DIPG please watch the presentation which was given in Barcelona, Spain, by Kira's team. They talk of a female child, Kira, whose brain stem tumor responded very well to carboplatin. Don't worry sweet baby, we will help the others...good job, Kik's. I love you so much.
23 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
